INFORMATION
Entrance to Espiunca of Paiva Walkways is temporarily closed. Areinho - Vau section available. It will be possible to leave by taxi/jeep at Vau, but it will not be possible to enter at this point. The return from Vau to the starting point, via the walkway, will be authorized as long as it is done within the infrastructure's operating hours.

The Paiva Walkways ticket does not give you access to the 516 Arouca. To visit both infrastructures, you must buy tickets for the 516 Arouca. The same ticket gives access to the Paiva Walkways as long as the visit takes place on the same day (https://516arouca.pt/).

The Paiva Walkways are located on the left bank of the Paiva river, in the municipality of Arouca, in the district of Aveiro. It is 8 km long and offers an "untouched" walk, surrounded by landscapes of unparalleled beauty, in an authentic natural sanctuary, next to whitewater descents, quartz crystals and endangered species in Europe. The trail stretches between the river beaches of Areinho and Espiunca, and between the two is the beach of Vau. A journey through biology, geology and archaeology that is sure to stay in the heart, soul and mind of any nature lover.

RULES FOR USING THE PAIVA WALKWAYS
Be our partner in preserving this space
• Make sure you take your booking confirmation with you, which is required for entry (ticket).
•Keep your ticket until the end of your visit.
•The booking confirmation email does not replace the entrance ticket to the Paiva Walkways.
•Respect the signs at each location and the directions given by the staff.
•Contribute to ensuring good circulation conditions at each site.
•Pay particular attention to any obstacles or steps.
•Keep an eye on the children in your care and help them understand the importance of heritage.
•Walk in groups.
•Only walk the walkways between sunrise and sunset.
•For your own safety, follow the marked route only.
•The walk should be done in small groups. Too many visitors can cause erosion and destroy the vegetation.
•Avoid noise and attitudes that disturb the ecosystem, ways of life and local traditions.
•Music players are prohibited
•Baby carriages are prohibited
•Pets are only allowed on a leash along the entire route or in their own backpack.
•Do not leave garbage behind. Take it to a place where there is a collection service.
•Do not light a fire.
•Camping is prohibited.
•Do not drink water from fountains (it is not drinkable).
•Cycling is not allowed.
•Respect private property.
•Do not pick plants or collect geological samples. Allow other visitors to contemplate this wealth.
•If you encounter obstacles, such as landslides, do not go around them. Go back the same way. Turning back is a sign of prudence, especially when the physiographic conditions deteriorate.
•Only take photographs. They serve as a memory of the good times spent and record the beauty of the landscape.
•Contact our staff whenever you need clarification or if you notice any irregularities.
•Respect the official guidelines and signage on the Paiva walkways. In the event of an emergency, call 112.

Reservation Cancellation
• Rebooking is permitted for a period of one year, subject to infrastructure availability;
• It is only possible to rebook on days with the same prices as the original booking. Only high season tickets may be rebooked for high season periods between April and October inclusive, and low season tickets only for low season periods between November and March. If the visitor so wishes, rebookings from high season to low season will be authorized, however no refund of the difference in costs will be allowed.
• Rebooking must be done till 2 days before the original visit day;
• It is not possible to rebook for day that are sold out;
• Rebooking assumes the payment of a rebooking fee of 50% of the amount paid for the ticket.


If the Paiva Walkways close for reasons of force majeure, the user can rebook their visit without any additional payment for a new date of their choice.
In no case will the total or partial amount paid for a booking be refunded. It is not possible to change the data of the invoice. Check them previously.
