St. Anthony’s Weddings have hit rock bottom. At least, that’s what Stardust, a major French group that will soon take over the event’s management, believes. Carmo and Valentim, Lisbon City Council employees who have spent more than 25 years organizing the event, receive a harsh ultimatum: either they create a modern, successful event or they will be fired. But against all odds, they set out to produce the most iconic edition in its history. Because Lisbon and its traditions are not for sale.
